Terms of service

The ground rules for using Mikey's Market, written to be read rather than skimmed.

Last updated 21 October 2026. This is a plain-English draft written while Mikey's Market is in its early stage. It will be reviewed and updated before card payments open.

About these terms

These terms apply when you browse Mikey's Market or create an account. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Where we are today

Mikey's Market is in its early stage. You can open a shop, list products and place orders, but card payments aren't switched on yet, so no money is taken at checkout. Products and shops marked "Sample" are demonstrations created by us — they aren't real inventory and can't be purchased.

Before card payments open, we'll add full terms covering payments, delivery and returns, and ask you to agree to them. Sellers pay a 2% commission on each sale. See Shipping & Returns for how delivery works today.

Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password safe and don't share your account.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • You can stop using your account at any time, and ask us to close it.

Using the site

Please don't:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to;
  • try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or interfere with how the site works;
  • copy or scrape the site in bulk, or use it to send spam;
  • harass, mislead or impersonate anyone.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Content and listings

The Mikey's Market name, logo and site design belong to us. When seller shops open, sellers will be responsible for their own listings and must follow our seller guidelines.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Mikey's Market available, accurate and secure, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law.

Changes and contact

We'll update these terms as the market grows and let members know about important changes. Questions? Please contact us.
